The facilities were excellent, especially the
Guest lounge, where I met other travelers and shared stories. Ian and Kate provided really good hospitality, even offering personalized recommendations for hiking routes. My only concern was the lack of on-site parking, but their warmth was good.

It is spotlessly clean and reasonably spacious hotel, the staff are amicable and location back up to the Roman Army museum is convenient. The rooms are en suite and modern, have hypoallergenic pillows. Thank you for a very enjoyable stay.

A great stay with friends! We visited the North Pennines and cycled the fine Hadrian's Wall route. The hosts offered amazing advice and even helped us with our muddy gear using the drying room. The breakfast was delicious and the little treats in our room were a lovely touch. Can't wait to come back! Highly recommended!
It was a bit tricky to find the place at first, but once we did, it was worth it.

The single room I had was super clean and so comfy! The private bathroom was just as nice. I loved the homemade cake surprise each day. The breakfast was delicious too, with a fantastic selection. Really felt at home with Ian and Kate as my hosts. Definitely the best guest house experience I've had.

The hosts Ian and Kate are amazing. They even offered to drive me to the station which was just above and beyond for me.

The hotel boasts a stunning and fantastic location in a perfect setting. the rooms were all neat and airy with nice touches like fresh milk in the fridge and a private bathroom. the place had a lovely decor that made us want to stay longer.

Plenty of veggie options for breakfast. the room is all modern and cool, with its own bathroom including a shower, hairdryer, and big fluffy towels. 🛁 Great spot to explore nearby restaurants and bars.
